La tecnología española de control del tráfico urbano sigue avanzando por China. Los mismos sistemas implantados por Indra en San Sebastián, Pamplona o Albacete están ya en fase de desarrollo en cuatro ciudades chinas: Changde, Guilin, Korla (Bazhou) y Liaocheng, una implementación que afectará a más de tres millones y medio de ciudadanos y que pretende reducir los tiempos de viaje y la contaminación.

Touch sensors designed into multi-user classroom workstations

Touch sensing solutions provider Zytronic has extended the use of its Projected Capacitive Technology (PCT) into a new desk design from Asian user interface specialist VitalTouch. The interactive school desk is expected to enhance the whole learning process, dispensing with traditional writing equipment and white boards. Each desk incorporates a full colour display with an integrated touchscreen, utilising Zytronic's ZYPOS 19-inch touch sensor product.

EU project 'AutoTune' started

An international consortium of scientific institutions and industrial companies coordinated by Technische Universität München recently started the European project “Automatic Online Tuning” (AutoTune) with the target of automatically optimizing applications in the area of high-performance computing. The Leibniz Supercomputing Centre of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences is partner in the project and responsible for the contacts to the public.
