Desarrollan una herramienta informática que facilita el análisis de las funciones de los genes

El Centro de Investigación del Cáncer (CIC) de Salamanca ha desarrollado una herramienta informática que permite comprobar qué funciones tiene un conjunto de genes. Esta aplicación informática ya está disponible en internet y facilita el trabajo de los investigadores, desde los que se dedican a la Biología básica hasta los que estudian los tumores. Celia Fontanillo, investigadora del Grupo de Bioinformática, ha desarrollado la herramienta y la ha presentado en una conferencia.

Adobe confirms zero-day danger in Reader and Acrobat

(PhysOrg.com) -- Adobe on Tuesday issued a critical security advisory for Adobe Reader and Acrobat. A vulnerability was detected and confirmed in Adobe Reader X (10.1.1) and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh, Adobe Reader 9.4.6 and earlier 9.x versions for UNIX, and Adobe Acrobat X (10.1.1) and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh. Adobe said the flaw could cause a crash and allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.
