Are you cyber savvy? (Kaspersky Lab)

A test conducted by Kaspersky Lab has shown that many users do not know (or know, but do not follow) basic security rules when making online payments or using online banking systems. For example, only half of users check if a website is authentic before entering their financial details, while almost a third consider it completely unnecessary to take any measures to protect their money online.

Three-in-Ten U.S. Jobs Are Held by the Self-Employed and the Workers They Hire (Pew Research Center)

Self-employed Americans and the workers they hired accounted for 44 million jobs in 2014, or 30% of the national workforce, according to a Pew Research Cencet analysis of data the U.S. Census Bureau recently made publicly available for the first time. The self-employed, 14.6 million in all, represented 10% of the nation's 146 million workers, and they in turn provided jobs for 29.4 million other workers.

Companies using industrial robots obtain superior efficiency in their manufacturing processes compared to non-users and this is a factor that helps companies retain competitive production lines in Europe. Improving healthcare while curbing cost: Med-tech companies offer a solution (McKinsey & Company)

Healthcare systems in the United States and Europe are under financial pressure, causing healthcare providers to look for new ways to manage costs while improving the quality of care. Research by McKinsey suggests that in the United States alone there is scope for medical technology companies to work with providers to address these tasks that could be worth $44 billion (Exhibit 1). Moreover, a McKinsey survey of 157 hospital executives in the United States and Europe identifies where the opportunities lie, and the obstacles that some med-tech companies will need to overcome to capture them.
